Job summary
The AES Corporation is seeking a Senior Development Engineer to drive solar PV and integrated battery energy storage system (BESS) project development across the US and internationally. The role focuses on advancing owner-operated renewable projects from feasibility through design, coordinating with Business Development, Execution, and Finance teams.

Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in renewable energy project development, design, analysis and construction.
- Proficiency with common renewables modeling tools such as PVSYST, Helioscope, SAM, and Plant Predict.
- Proficiency with CAD tools such as AutoCAD and MS Office applications.
Responsibilities
- Energy production modeling for projects in development (PVSYST, Helioscope, Plant Predict).
- Battery dispatch modeling for projects in development (Excel, MATLAB).
- Site evaluation (remote and in-person) for project suitability.
- Project pricing and value engineering with an Estimator.
- Create preliminary plant designs, site layouts, single lines.
