The AES Corporation is seeking a Senior Development Engineer to drive solar PV and integrated battery energy storage system (BESS) project development across the US and internationally. You will work with a team to qualify opportunities, perform due diligence, and respond to RFPs from utilities, municipalities and others.

Projects range from 2 MW to 500 MW, requiring depth in PV and storage design/analysis.

Qualificações

• Undergraduate degree in engineering or equivalent technical field.
• 5+ years of renewable energy project development, design, analysis and construction.
• Proficiency with modeling tools: PVSYST, HOMER, SAM, Helioscope, Plant Predict.
• Proficiency with CAD tools such as AutoCAD.
• MS Office applications with advanced Excel skills.

Responsabilidades

• Energy production modeling for projects in development (PVSYST, Helioscope, Plant Predict).
• Battery dispatch modeling for projects in development (Excel, Matlab).
• Site evaluation (remote and in-person) for project suitability.
• Project pricing and value engineering with an Estimator.
• Create preliminary plant designs, site layouts, single lines.
• Recommend primary project equipment (inverters, PV modules, racking, batteries).
• Technical diligence for new project opportunities and third-party data review.
• Support for RFPs, Greenfield Development, and Acquisition studies up to 30% design.
• Develop technical deliverables for RFP responses and proposals.
