Job summary

Serco is seeking a Senior Level Software Engineer to support the AFLCMC/WAG program at Tinker AFB, OK, with a focus on software for weapon systems and DoD platforms. Candidates should have hands-on development experience, advanced engineering degrees, and a track record in DoD environments, plus willingness to travel up to 10% CONUS.

Qualifications

• Active Top-Secret clearance with the ability to obtain SCI and SAP access
• 10+ years of engineering experience in the DoD, government, or DoD contractors (Masters)
• 15+ years of engineering experience in the DoD, government, or DoD contractors (Bachelor's)
• Minimum of 3 years SAP experience within the last 8 years
• Recent hands-on software development or analysis
• Ability to travel up to 10% (CONUS)

Responsibilities

• Develop software engineering strategies for weapon systems, subsystems, and support equipment
• Translate user requirements into system requirements for design, test, and evaluation
• Assess DoD contractor software deliveries and analyze performance deficiencies
• Audit contractor software configuration and control measures
• Evaluate contractor design changes and perform systems analyses and trade-off studies
• Review software architecture and interoperability requirements
• Evaluate test plans and participate in system/subsystem testing
• Contribute to program and contract documentation
• Conduct technical evaluations of contractor proposals
• Develop mitigation plans for technical risk
