Job summary

Serco is seeking a Senior Level Software Engineer to support the AFLCMC/WAG program at a US Air Force base. You will develop software strategies, translate requirements into system specs, and conduct assessments of contractor software deliveries while ensuring quality and interoperability across weapon systems.

Travel up to 10% may be required. The role requires active TS/SCI with SAP eligibility, a relevant engineering masters or a bachelor’s with substantial DoD experience, and recent hands-on

Qualifications

• Active Top-Secret security clearance with SCI/SAP access and recent background investigation within 5 years or under Continuous Vetting.
• Masters Degree in a relevant engineering discipline with 10+ years DoD/government/DoD contractor experience.
• Or Bachelor’s Degree with 15+ years DoD/government/DoD contractor experience.
• Minimum of 3 years SAP experience within the last 8 years.
• Recent hands-on software development or analysis.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% (CONUS).

Responsibilities

• Develop software engineering strategies for acquisition, development, and sustainment of software for weapon systems and support equipment.
• Translate user requirements into system requirements for design, development, testing, and evaluation.
• Assess DoD contractor software deliveries and analyze performance deficiencies.
• Audit contractor software configuration and quality accreditation.
• Evaluate proposed design changes and perform systems analyses and trade studies.
• Review system design software architecture and interoperability requirements.
