Job summary

Verint Systems, Inc. seeks a Senior Software Engineer to own end-to-end development of cloud-based platforms and applications. You will lead design, development, testing, publishing, and customer implementation with a global team, adhering to CI/CD practices.

Expect to mentor peers, drive quality through tests and performance monitoring, and collaborate across product and engineering stakeholders to deliver robust, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science / software engineering (or similar).
• 5 years' experience in design and programming large scale applications through all phases of the software development life cycle including testing, implementation and auditing.
• Proven track record of delivery of complex features end-to-end.
• 2 years experience mentoring mid to entry level engineers and influencing technical direction.
• Strong proficiency in Java (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, JPA/Hibernate).
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design, OAuth 2.0/JWT, and microservices patterns.
• Strong working knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MS SQL, Oracle) including schema design and query optimization. NoSQL exposure (Redis, Elasticsearch, MongoDB).
• 3 years experience consuming LLM APIs, prompt engineering, or AI-powered features.
• Strong debugging skills (performance/memory leaks/crash/multithreaded/algorithms).
• 3 years experience with source control tools (GIT, SVN or similar).
• 3 years experience with containerized runtime environments: Docker, Kubernetes.
• 3 years experience with compiling and CI tools like Eclipse/IntelliJ, Visual Studio, Maven, Jenkins, Artifactory or similar.
• Excellent teamwork, self-learner and self-managed.
• Strong interpersonal and English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ongoing evaluation (test) of feature design and risk areas in architecture and performance.
• Distill requirements from feature level into implementation tasks.
• Develop features using best practices aligning with product architecture.
• Ensure unit tests, automation, throughput, security and performance meet standards.
• Guide feature design for operations, deployment and sustainability.
• Lead technical implementation decisions and feature delivery.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.
• Review documentation and ensure clear onboarding guides.
• Communicate risks and changes to stakeholders as needed.
• Collaborate with partners to maintain productive relationships.
