Job summary

Tanium is seeking a SLED Solution Engineer to work with state, local government and higher education customers, translating complex technical requirements into procurement-ready solutions. You will lead platform demos, POV engagements, and collaborate with Sales, CS, Product, and Marketing to optimize the customer lifecycle.

Expect significant travel (40-60%) to engage with agencies, campuses, and events, with a focus on security, IT operations, and regulatory compliance across public sector

Qualifications

• 6+ years of operational and/or selling experience in endpoint operations or security.
• 4+ years of experience in customer-facing or customer support positions.
• Experience in software pre-sales or value-based technical selling in large enterprise/public sector.
• Proven success supporting State/Local Government and/or Higher Education.
• Strong communication to C-Suite and frontline users.
• Familiarity with public sector procurement motions and language.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-sales discovery meetings and platform demos for SLED customers.
• Develop and present Proof of Value engagements tailored to SLED requirements.
