Job summary

Tanium is seeking a Solution Engineer to collaborate with Sales and CS, leading technical POVs and platform demos for enterprise customers. You will translate customer challenges into Tanium solutions, guiding opportunities from discovery through close while traveling 40–60% to engage with clients in person.

The role emphasizes strong communication across C-Suite to end users, deep IT security and operations knowledge, and a track record of driving outcomes in large environments.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of operational and/or selling experience in endpoint operations or security.
• 4+ years in customer-facing or customer support roles.
• Significant software pre-sales or related value-based technical selling expertise in very large enterprise environments.
• Experience presenting at multiple levels, from C-Suite to Solution Users.
• BS degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with our world-class sales team from initial discovery to deal close to shorten sales cycles.
• Oversee and participate in initial discovery meetings with customers, providing platform demos and POV engagements.
• Translate customer business challenges into technical solutions to position Tanium effectively.
• Serve as a technical expert throughout sales engagements, aligning POV activities with account goals.
• Partner with field engineering teams to ensure technical effectiveness and consistent customer experience.
• Communicate clearly through verbal, written, and presentation skills and build strong customer relationships.
