Job summary

Tanium is seeking a SLED Solution Engineer to work with state, local government, and higher education customers. You will lead technical evaluations, run platform demos, and craft POV engagements tailored to public sector needs.

You’ll translate mission challenges into actionable IT solutions while navigating procurement processes and regulatory constraints. Travel 40–60% to engage with customers and events, collaborating with Sales, CS, Product, and Marketing to optimize the SLED lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Experience in endpoint operations or security in large enterprise or public sector environments.
• Ability to translate complex technical value to procurement-ready language for public sector buyers.
• Strong written and verbal communication across executive and user audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-sales discovery meetings and platform demos for SLED customers.
• Deliver Proof of Value engagements aligned with SLED requirements and funding.
• Translate public sector challenges into technical solutions within regulatory constraints.
• Partner with field engineering to ensure technical effectiveness throughout POV process.
• Engage in regional and national SLED events and train SLED partners.
