Job summary

Tanium is hiring a Senior Solution Engineer focusing on SLED Northeast. This remote role supports state, local government, and higher education accounts, delivering platform demos, POV engagements, and tailored solutions.

You will translate public sector needs into technical Tanium capabilities while navigating procurement constraints and regulatory requirements. You’ll engage with C-Suite and frontline staff, collaborate with field engineers, and participate in regional/national SLED events.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of operational and/or selling experience in endpoint operations or security.
• Experience presenting to C-Suite (CIO, CISO) and department directors.
• Familiarity with public sector procurement motions and ability to translate technical value into procurement-ready language.
• Knowledge of CJIS, IRS Pub 1075, HIPAA, FERPA, StateRAMP, CIS Controls; FedRAMP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work with SLED sales team from discovery to deal close to shorten sales cycles.
• Lead platform demos and POV engagements for existing and new opportunities.
• Translate public sector challenges into technical Tanium solutions within budget and regulatory constraints.
• Guide pre-sales and POV processes to align with multi-year modernization roadmaps.
• Collaborate with field engineering to ensure technical effectiveness and consistent customer experience.
• Communicate effectively with customers in formats like RFP/RFI responses and public-sector purchasing vehicles.
• Build and maintain relationships with SLED customers and channel/reseller partners.
• Participate in regional and national SLED marketing events and conferences.
• Provide customer-facing sales and channel enablement, including training for partners.
• Travel 40–60% to engage with customers and prospects in person.
