Job summary

RTX is seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer - Signal and Sensor Modeling to join a close-knit, onsite team in Tucson, AZ. You will create advanced, physics-based modeling solutions in the DoD space, focusing on EO/IR/RF domains and AI-enabled hardware and software integration.

You will work across languages and develop novel EO/RF modeling techniques, mentoring peers and supporting customers in adopting modeling solutions to achieve mission success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or related STEM field with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with object-oriented software design in C++, C, and MATLAB or Python for data evaluation.
• Experience with UNIX/Linux, Apple OS, or Windows command line.
• Experience in electro-optics or radar processing, EO/IR/RF imaging, energy transport, radar physics, or signal processing.
• Ability to obtain Interim Secret security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Champion novel modeling techniques for advanced modeling methods.
• Develop new C++ models in an extensible and maintainable fashion.
• Deploy EO or RF phenomenology in software implementations.
• Enable customer success through adoption and utilization of modeling solutions.
• Coordinate with multiple development teams to solve complex software and physics problems.
• Mentor teammates and share EO/RF expertise.
