Job summary

Raytheon is seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer - Signal and Sensor Modeling Engineer in Tucson, AZ onsite to develop physics‑based modeling solutions for DoD Space.

You will create advanced EO/IR/RF models, apply CUDA/OpenGL techniques, and collaborate across engineering teams to deliver robust software that supports next‑generation missile and sensor systems. The role requires strong programming in C/C++, MATLAB or Python for data evaluation, and the ability to obtain an interim security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or related STEM degree.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with object‑oriented design in C++/C and data analysis in MATLAB or Python.

Responsibilities

• Champion novel modeling techniques for EO/IR/RF domains.
• Develop new C++ models in an extensible, maintainable way.
• Deploy EO or RF phenomenology in software implementations.
• Enable customer success through adoption of modeling solutions.
• Collaborate across teams to solve software and physics problems.
• Research and develop novel EO or RF modeling approaches.
• Mentor teammates with EO/RF expertise.
