Job summary

Raytheon in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Sr. Principal Systems Engineer - Signal and Sensor Modeling Engineer to tackle advanced modeling for DoD Space applications.

You will develop C++ models, deploy EO/RF phenomenology, and collaborate across teams to deliver robust software for tomorrow's AI algorithms and hardware. This onsite role requires a strong physics/engineering background and the ability to obtain a security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, or Mathematics required.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in systems engineering or modeling.
• Experience with C++, MATLAB or Python, and UNIX/Linux command line.

Responsibilities

• Champion novel solutions for advanced modeling techniques.
• Develop new C++ models in an extensible and maintainable fashion.
• Deploy EO or RF phenomenology and advanced physics principles in software.
• Enable customer success through adoption of modeling solutions.
• Work across programming languages inside an established software product.
• Research and develop novel EO or RF modeling solutions.
• Coordinate with multiple teams to solve complex software and physics problems.
