Job summary

RTX is seeking a Systems Engineer II - Signal and Sensor Modeling in Tucson, AZ. The role focuses on building advanced, physics-based modeling solutions for DoD Space, developing EO/IR/RF modeling capabilities, and delivering robust software across languages. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related STEM degree.
• Experience with object-oriented software design in C++, C, and data evaluation in MATLAB or Python.
• Experience with UNIX/Linux or Windows/macOS command lines.
• Experience in electro-optics, radar processing, EO/IR/RF systems, energy transport, radar physics, signal processing or related algorithms.

Responsibilities

• Champion novel modeling techniques and advance software solutions.
• Develop new C++ models in an extensible, maintainable way.
• Apply EO/RF phenomenology and physics to software implementations.
• Collaborate with multiple teams to prioritize and solve complex problems.
• Mentor team members and share EO/RF expertise.
