Job summary

RTX is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer - Signal and Sensor Modeling in Tucson, AZ. You will join a close-knit team to create advanced, physics-based modeling solutions for DoD Space, focusing on EO/IR/RF domains, energy transport, and AI-driven hardware solutions.

The role involves developing new C++ models, deploying sophisticated modeling techniques, and collaborating across teams to deliver robust software to customers onsite in Tucson.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics or related STEM field.
• 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with object-oriented software design in C++ and C; MATLAB or Python for data eval.

Responsibilities

• Champion novel modeling techniques for EO/RF domains.
• Develop new C++ models in extensible, maintainable fashion.
• Deploy EO or RF phenomenology in software implementations.
• Enable customer success through adoption of modeling solutions.
• Work across programming languages and build environments in a production software product.
• Research and develop novel EO or RF modeling solutions.
• Coordinate with multiple teams to solve complex software and physics problems.
• Mentor teammates and share EO/RF expertise.
