Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a ServiceNow Lead Developer to guide the design, development, integration, and enhancement of enterprise ServiceNow solutions. The role requires technical leadership to development teams and hands-on expertise across ITSM, CMDB, CSDM, ITOM, ITAM/HAM, CSM, and HRSD.

The candidate will architect integrations via REST/SOAP, MID Server, and Flow Designer, while ensuring governance, upgrades, and best practices. Remote work is supported for this senior position.

Responsibilities

• Lead ServiceNow development activities, including design reviews, code reviews, and deployment planning.
• Design and develop solutions leveraging ServiceNow platform capabilities, including ITSM, CMDB, CSDM, ITOM, ITAM/HAM, CSM, and HRSD.
• Develop and optimize Client Scripts, Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Policies, and Flow Designer workflows.
• Architect and implement integrations using Integration Hub, REST APIs, SOAP services, and MID Servers.
• Establish and maintain CMDB governance, Discovery schedules, data reconciliation rules, and CSDM alignment.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and product owners to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Support platform upgrades, release management activities, and Automated Test Framework (ATF) implementation.
• Provide technical mentoring and guidance to developers, administrators, and support teams.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues and performance bottlenecks.
• Ensure adherence to ServiceNow development standards and best practices.
