Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an experienced ServiceNow Lead Developer to lead the design, development, integration, and enhancement of enterprise ServiceNow solutions. You will provide technical leadership to development teams, drive platform best practices, and deliver scalable solutions across ITSM, CMDB, CSDM, ITOM, ITAM/HAM, CSM, HRSD.

Work with stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions, support upgrades and release management, and mentor engineers and admins while championing

Qualifications

• 6+ years hands-on ServiceNow development and administration
• 2+ years leading ServiceNow development teams or projects
• Strong expertise in ITSM, CMDB, and CSDM
• Experience with at least two additional modules such as ITOM, ITAM/HAM, CSM, HRSD, SPM or SecOps
• Designing and implementing REST/SOAP integrations and MID Server configurations
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and ITIL processes
• Experience with upgrades, release management, and governance

Responsibilities

• Lead ServiceNow development activities, including design reviews, code reviews, and deployment planning
• Design and develop solutions leveraging ServiceNow capabilities across ITSM, CMDB, CSDM, ITOM, ITAM/HAM, CSM, HRSD, and more
• Develop and optimize Client Scripts, Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Policies, and Flow Designer workflows
• Architect and implement integrations using Integration Hub, REST APIs, SOAP services, and MID Servers
• Establish and maintain CMDB governance, Discovery schedules, data reconciliation rules, and CSDM alignment
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
• Support platform upgrades, release management activities, and ATF implementation
• Provide technical mentoring to developers, administrators, and support teams
• Troubleshoot production issues and performance bottlenecks
• Ensure adherence to ServiceNow development standards and best practices
