Job summary

DC Public Schools in Washington, DC is seeking a full-time Senior ServiceNow Application Developer to support development, administration, and ongoing enhancement of the district's ServiceNow platform across ITSM, HRSD, S2P and ITAM.

The role involves hands-on configuration, maintenance, and evolving workflows to serve district-wide business processes, collaborating with non-technical stakeholders and ensuring secure, upgrade-ready solutions for central offices and school-based teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Five+ years hands-on ServiceNow administration experience, including ownership of a ServiceNow instance.
• Strong knowledge of the ServiceNow platform: forms, lists, tables, dictionary, business rules, client scripts, UI policies and UI actions.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary administrator for the DCPS ServiceNow instance, supporting day-to-day operations.
• Configure and maintain ServiceNow applications, including forms, lists, workflows/flows, notifications and reporting.
• Support development across ITSM, HRSD, S2P, and other modules; design catalog items and end-to-end workflows.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions and maintain upgrade readiness.
• Develop technical documentation and partner with internal IT teams and ServiceNow partners.
