Job summary

DCPS is seeking a hands-on ServiceNow Administrator to configure and evolve the DCPS ServiceNow instance across ITSM, HRSD, Source-to-Pay, IT Asset Management, and more. You will own day-to-day operations, implement workflows, and deliver scalable, secure solutions aligned to DCPS priorities.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s in IT/CS or related field, 5+ years’ ServiceNow experience, strong platform fundamentals, and ITIL knowledge; CAD and public education experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Five or more years of hands-on ServiceNow administration, including ownership or co-ownership of a ServiceNow instance.
• Strong platform fundamentals: forms, lists, tables, dictionary, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions, roles and ACLs, update sets.
• ITIL Foundation certification or equivalent ITSM process knowledge; able to work 100% onsite in Washington, DC and interview in person.
• Preferred: ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD); ITSM/HRSD/S2P/CSM/SecOps; Integration Hub and data imports; public sector / K-12 / education experience

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary administrator for the DCPS ServiceNow instance, supporting day-to-day service operations and maintenance
• Configure and maintain ServiceNow applications: forms, lists, workflows/flows, notifications, and reporting
• Support development and enhancement across multiple modules (ITSM, HRSD, S2P, and others)
• Design and maintain Service Catalog items and end-to-end workflows using Flow Designer, approvals, task routing, and notifications
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into platform-aligned technical solutions
• Ensure configurations follow ServiceNow best practices (configuration over customization) and maintain upgrade readiness
• Troubleshoot platform issues, resolve defects, build REST/SOAP integrations, and maintain technical documentation
