Job summary

Truist Financial Corporation is seeking a ServiceNow Automation Platform Engineer to lead automation and AI-driven capabilities across the ServiceNow ecosystem. You will design scalable automation frameworks, governance validation, and developer enablement to improve platform reliability and delivery outcomes.

The role requires on-site work five days per week at core offices in Charlotte, NC; Raleigh, NC; Richmond, VA; or Atlanta, GA.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in software development.
Deep knowledge of multiple programming languages, software architecture, and design principles.
Deep understanding of software development lifecycle, testing, deployment, and security practices.

Responsibilities

Implements software architecture and engineering approaches for complex initiatives with major impact.
Adopts and refines engineering standards, governance mechanisms to improve quality and delivery.
Collaborates with senior engineers and architecture to shape technology approaches and roadmaps.
Leads end-to-end technical design and implementation of scalable, secure software solutions.
Independently troubleshoots complex issues and designs improvements for performance, reliability, and scalability.
Provides technical guidance and coaching to engineers and conducts design reviews.
Evaluates emerging technologies and builds prototypes contributing to new features.
Contributes to long-term technical goals and plans with recommendations and design proposals.
Leads large initiatives coordinating technical work across teams.
