Job summary

Jobgether seeks a Senior Service Designer for remote work in the United States to lead human-centered design initiatives that modernize complex government systems and deliver better digital services. You will guide discovery, translate research into actionable strategies, and collaborate with product, engineering, data, and research teams, initially supporting veteran affairs programs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in service design, UX design, or user research with leadership of complex engagements.
• Strong service design methods, discovery techniques, systems thinking and strategic problem solving.
• Proven impact delivering high-value projects for clients and users.
• Ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative insights and identify patterns.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication; ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Experience working in agile or similarly collaborative environments.
• Preferred: experience with federal government programs (VA); familiarity with data science.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% for client engagements.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex, cross-functional service design engagements with high quality and on-time delivery.
• Apply mixed-method research to understand user needs, processes, technology, and orgs; translate findings into improvements.
• Map relationships between people, processes, technologies, and organizations to identify opportunities for sustainable change.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, data scientists, researchers to align priorities and solutions.
• Engage with and influence client stakeholders; defend service design recommendations.
