Jobgether is partnering with a client seeking a Senior Service Designer in the United States. You will lead human-centered design initiatives for federal programs, guiding discovery, research synthesis, and strategic service design across product, engineering, data, and research teams.

In this senior IC role, you will influence client decisions, establish design best practices, and apply responsible AI to deliver measurable improvements in public services while working fully remotely.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years in service design, UX design, or user research, including leading complex engagements.
• Strong command of service design methods, research and discovery techniques, systems thinking, and strategic problem-solving.
• Demonstrated impact: delivering high-impact projects with measurable value for clients and end users.
• Research and analytical skills: synthesize qualitative and quantitative insights and develop evidence-based recommendations.
• Client relationship management: strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Cross-functional collaboration: experience with product, engineering, data, and research in agile environments.
• Strategic and business acumen: connect service design decisions to client outcomes and growth opportunities.
• AI and emerging technologies: apply responsible AI-enabled approaches to improve outcomes.
• Project and delivery management: organize, prioritize, manage risks while maintaining quality.
• Leadership and accountability: set high standards and foster collaborative, inclusive teams.
• Curiosity and continuous learning: proactive mindset and openness to evolving technologies.
• Preferred qualifications: experience with federal agencies, especially VA; knowledge of data science and data engineering is beneficial.
• Location and work authorization: eligible states in the US; citizenship for government contracts.
• Travel: willing to travel up to 10%.

Responsabilités

• Lead complex, cross-functional service design engagements with high-quality, timely delivery.
• Apply mixed-method research and discovery to understand user needs, processes, and technology ecosystems.
• Map relationships to develop holistic understanding of service challenges and improvements.
• Partner with product, engineering, data scientists, researchers to define problems and develop solutions.
• Build trusted relationships with client stakeholders and defend service design recommendations.
• Identify and address project risks and maintain quality and alignment with objectives.
• Explore responsible AI tools to accelerate discovery and enhance outcomes.
• Contribute to internal initiatives and share emerging practices to strengthen capabilities.
• Support business development by translating challenges into compelling proposals.
• Establish service design methodologies and promote inclusive, innovative ways of working.
