Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Senior Service Designer to lead human-centered design initiatives for federal programs within a fully remote US-based role. This position focuses on understanding how people, processes, technology, and organizations interact to identify meaningful, measurable improvements and to guide discovery and service design engagements across multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in service design, UX design, user research, or related discipline.
• Strong command of service design methods, research & discovery techniques, systems thinking, and strategic problem-solving.
• Proven track record delivering high-impact projects for clients and end users.
• Ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative insights and develop evidence-based recommendations.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication; able to influence senior stakeholders.
• Experience with federal government projects is a plus; familiarity with data science/data engineering is beneficial.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% depending on location.
• U.S. citizenship is required for the supported government contract.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex, cross-functional service design engagements with high-quality, timely delivery.
• Apply mixed-method research to understand user needs, processes, and technology ecosystems.
• Map relationships between people, processes, technologies, and organizations for holistic insights.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, data, and research teams to define problems and develop solutions.
• Engage with clients, validate assumptions, present and defend service design recommendations.
• Proactively identify risks and ensure delivery quality and alignment with objectives.
• Explore responsible AI-enabled approaches to accelerate discovery and improve outcomes.
• Contribute to internal initiatives and grow service design capabilities across the organization.
• Support proposals and new business opportunities by translating challenges into solutions.
• Foster an inclusive, curious team culture and establish best practices.
