Partner Organization is seeking a Senior Service Designer to lead human-centered design initiatives for federal government modernization projects in the United States. The role focuses on understanding how people, processes, technology, and organizations interact to deliver measurable improvements, with initial work supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in service design, UX design or user research, including leadership of complex engagements.
• Strong command of service design methods, research and discovery techniques, systems thinking.
• Proven ability to turn complex challenges into actionable recommendations.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Lead complex, cross-functional service design engagements with high-quality, timely delivery.
• Apply mixed-method research to understand user needs and processes, translating into insights.
• Map relationships to develop holistic views of service challenges and improvements.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, data, and research teams to define problems and solutions.
• Engage with clients, validate assumptions, present design recommendations, and defend choices.
• Identify risks and address delivery challenges while maintaining quality.
• Explore responsible AI-enabled approaches to accelerate discovery and improve outcomes.
• Contribute to internal initiatives and knowledge sharing to strengthen capabilities.
• Support proposals and new business opportunities with service design expertise.
• Promote inclusive, curious, and innovative ways of working.
