Job summary

Convergint is seeking a full-time Security Service Technician to service and support existing customers by responding to service calls and small projects. The role emphasizes teamwork, growth, and a customer-first culture as you protect assets with fire alarm and electronic security solutions.

Responsibilities include on-site diagnostics, installations, and detailed reporting for invoicing and cost control.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5–7 years servicing and programming access control systems.
• Strong knowledge of fire alarm/electronic security systems.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond to routine and non-routine customer service calls, maintenance calls, and emergency/after-hours service calls.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, replace defective parts and debug systems for routine problems; install projects as necessary.
• Complete accurate and detailed service reports for customer and Convergint for invoicing and cost tracking.
• Use troubleshooting skills to isolate and fix problems in malfunctioning equipment or software.
