Job summary

Convergint is seeking an Electronic Security Service Technician to join our culture. This full-time role services and supports existing customers by responding to service calls, performing maintenance, and handling small projects within the security domain.

You will work with a dynamic team, leverage strong problem-solving skills, and travel locally as required to service installations and upgrades while upholding Convergint's standards of safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• Exceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure.
• Solid technical skills related to fire alarm/electronic security systems.
• Solid programming skills and troubleshooting ability.
• Self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record; IL PERC card.
• Willingness to travel locally to jobsites; minimal overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service calls, routine and after-hours, diagnose and repair.
• Install projects and perform system diagnostics on security equipment.
• Prepare detailed service reports for invoicing and cost tracking.
• Provide cross-team coordination and participate in training.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and regulations.
• Coordinate with customers to deliver solutions and upgrades.
• Assist with system integrations and checks for new installations.
