Job summary

Fortra is seeking an experienced software automation professional to drive efficiency through Python-based solutions. You will analyze processes, meet with stakeholders to gather requirements, and develop quick proofs of concept to validate ideas while tracking automation impact.

You will work with detection of phishing, brand abuse, and cyber threats, applying scripting, SQL data analysis, and Flask-based tools. Remote-friendly with on-call responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or 2-3 years software development experience.
• 4-5 years of data analysis experience leveraging SQL.
• 4-5 years of scripting experience in Python.
• 3-4 years of experience in the Cybersecurity industry.
• Understanding of DNS, Proxies, Whois, SSL.

Responsibilities

• Develop scripts and applications in Python
• Analyze data and processes to identify automation opportunities
• Meet with stakeholders to define requirements and provide time estimates
• Develop quick proof of concepts to vet ideas
• Produce metrics showing automation impact
• Monitor applications and troubleshoot errors
• On-call support as needed for applications
