Job summary
Fortra is seeking a technical professional to analyze efficiency opportunities and automate processes within Security Operations. The role focuses on Python-based automation, data analysis, and stakeholder collaboration to define requirements and deliver proof-of-concept solutions.
On-call support is required to sustain applications and improve managed services through automation. Candidates should have experience in phishing detection, brand abuse, cyber threats, and related domains, with API
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or 2-3 years of software development experience.
- 4-5 years of data analysis experience leveraging SQL.
- Understanding of joins, indexes, query optimization and relational table design.
- 4-5 years of scripting experience in Python.
- Experience with Flask, creating libraries, Python packaging and CICD.
- 3-4 years of experience in the Cybersecurity industry.
- Understanding of DNS, Proxies, Whois, SSL.
Responsibilities
- Develop scripts and applications in Python.
- Analyze data and processes to identify automation opportunities.
- Meet with stakeholders to define requirements and provide time estimates.
- Develop quick proof of concepts to vet ideas.
- Produce metrics showing automation impact.
- Monitor applications and troubleshoot errors.
- On-call support as needed for applications.
