Job summary

Fortra is seeking a skilled automation-focused professional to analyze efficiency opportunities and drive automation across Security Operations. You will develop Python scripts, review processes, and partner with stakeholders to define requirements and timelines.

You will prototype concepts, track metrics, and provide on-call support as needed to keep applications reliable. Ideal candidates bring 4–5 years in data analysis with SQL, 4–5 years Python scripting, Flask experience, and familiarity

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 4-5 years of data analysis experience leveraging SQL.
• 4-5 years of scripting experience in Python.
• Experience with Flask, creating libraries, Python packaging and CI/CD.
• 3-4 years of experience in the Cybersecurity industry.
• Understanding of DNS, Proxies, Whois, SSL.

Responsibilities

• Develop scripts and applications in Python.
• Analyze data and processes to identify automation opportunities.
• Meet with stakeholders to define requirements and provide time estimates.
• Develop quick proof of concepts to vet ideas.
• Produce metrics showing automation impact.
• Monitor applications and troubleshoot errors.
• On-call support as needed for applications.
