Job summary

Figma is seeking a Technical Accounting and SEC Reporting professional to manage quarterly and annual filings, ensuring ASC 718/805/350/842 compliance and accurate GAAP reporting. You will draft memos, coordinate with Legal and FP&A, and support the close process.

The role can be based in a US hub or fully remote within the United States, offering broad exposure to SEC topics and internal control design.

Qualifications

3+ years in public accounting (Big 4 or large regional) or public company in technical accounting or SEC reporting.
Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, especially ASC 718/805/350/842.
Hands-on experience supporting or preparing SEC filings (10-Q/10-K).
Excellent communication; can document complex accounting conclusions clearly.
Autonomous, able to manage priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

Support quarterly (10-Q) and annual (10-K) SEC filings, including financial statements, footnotes, MD&A and XBRL tagging.
Draft technical accounting memos for complex transactions (ASC 718/805/350/842).
Prepare and review monthly equity accounting journal entries and equity roll forward schedules.
Contribute to monthly/quarterly close with reconciliations and flux analyses.
Partner with Legal, FP&A, Tax, Stock Administration and Investor Relations on reporting deliverables.
Maintain internal accounting policies and SOX-compliant controls.
Stay current on SEC regulations and new GAAP pronouncements; flag impacts.
