Job summary

LHH is partnering with a large, publicly traded organization to hire a Senior Manager of Accounting (SEC Reporting) for a fully remote role with a highly visible accounting team and strong leadership exposure.

The candidate will lead the preparation of 10-K/10-Q, review SEC disclosures, monitor GAAP guidance, and drive process improvements across reporting, close, and controls. A CPA with 8+ years in SEC/technical accounting is required.

Qualifications

• CPA required.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong background in SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting.
• Experience auditing SEC registrants or working in SEC reporting/technical accounting for a public company.
• Deep understanding of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting, SOX, and disclosure requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation and review of 10-K, 10-Q, SEC disclosures, consolidated financial statements, and management reporting.
• Research and lead conclusions around complex and non-routine technical accounting matters, including memos.
• Monitor new U.S. GAAP and SEC guidance and lead implementation of disclosures.
• Partner with Accounting, Finance, Internal Audit, external auditors, and executive leadership.
• Support quarterly reviews, annual audits, Audit Committee deliverables, and resolution of complex reporting matters.
• Drive improvements around reporting processes, close procedures, workpapers, controls, and automation.
• Maintain accounting policies and position papers for complex accounting areas.
