Job summary

GitLab Inc. is seeking an SEC Manager to take end-to-end ownership of external financial reporting, including Forms 10-K/10-Q, and to drive the reporting calendar with Accounting, Legal, FP&A, and Investor Relations.

You will improve disclosure quality and reporting processes, reporting to the Director of SEC Reporting, and work remotely from the Americas. You’ll maintain SEC/US GAAP compliance, lead SOX efforts, and advance automation in disclosures while collaborating with business partners to

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• CPA licensure or active pursuit preferred.
• Experience owning SEC reporting deliverables (10-K/10-Q) in public company or public accounting context.
• Proven ability to improve disclosures and reporting processes beyond execution.
• Strong project management skills with calendar ownership and cross-team coordination.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with accounting guidance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with senior stakeholder interaction.
• Proficiency with Workiva Wdesk and NetSuite preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own preparation, review, and filing of SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, S-1) and quarterly investor materials.
• Manage quarterly/annual reporting calendar and cross-functional inputs; monitor deadlines.
• Lead earnings release process and review of related disclosures and scripts.
• Own disclosure checklist and XBRL review; drive quality, clarity, consistency.
• Improve SEC reporting processes by identifying inefficiencies and driving automation.
• Prepare or review journal entries, reconciliations, equity rollforward, and EPS calculations.
• Ensure compliance with SEC and US GAAP; research accounting issues and implement new pronouncements.
• Maintain SOX requirements and support internal/external reporting; lead special projects.
