Job summary

Figma seeks an experienced Specialist in Technical Accounting and SEC Reporting to bolster the team responsible for timely financial reporting under US GAAP. You will design scalable procedures, draft position memos, and support the close process from a remote US location.

The role requires 3+ years in public accounting or public company SEC reporting, strong GAAP knowledge, and ability to prioritize across deliverables while working independently.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in public accounting or at a public company in technical accounting or SEC reporting.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and ASC topics listed in the job description.
• Experience supporting SEC filings (10-Q/10-K) and related disclosures.

Responsibilities

• Support quarterly and annual SEC filings, including statements, MD&A, footnotes, and XBRL tagging.
• Draft technical accounting position memos for complex transactions (ASC 718, 805, 350, 842).
• Prepare and review equity accounting entries and maintain roll-forwards.
• Contribute to monthly/quarterly close, reconciliations and analyses.
• Collaborate with Legal, FP&A, Tax, Stock Administration and IR to coordinate deliverables.
• Maintain SOX-compliant accounting policies and process documentation.
• Stay current on SEC rules and GAAP updates and flag impacts.
