Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an experienced Senior SCADA Design Lead to drive the in-house design of SCADA monitoring and control systems for utility-scale renewable projects. You will work remotely, using AutoCAD, Visio, and related tools to produce comprehensive designs and ensure adherence to SOLV standards.

Responsibilities include leading design reviews, mentoring engineers, and coordinating with OT teams to validate hardware requirements and integrate PLC/SCADA solutions across projects.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in electrical, mechanical or energy preferred.
• 6–8 years of engineering experience in renewable energy or utility scale projects.
• Direct SCADA engineering experience with drawing sets.
• Advanced AutoCAD knowledge including wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Strong Layer 2/3 networking knowledge and protocols (Modbus, OPC UA).
• Excellent communication and project-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead in-house SCADA design for utility-scale PV, BESS, and wind projects.
• Advise on SCADA standards, reviews, and risk mitigation across teams.
• Develop and approve detailed design documentation (diagrams, port maps, power diagrams, BOMs).
• Mentor engineers, conduct technical reviews, and enforce design quality.
• Collaborate with OT teams to define hardware requirements and validate systems.
• Support commissioning and on-site handover with field teams.
