Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Senior SCADA Design Lead to own in-house SCADA design for utility-scale PV, BESS, and wind projects. You will produce drawings for large-scale SCADA systems using AutoCAD and Visio, reinforce SOLV standards, and support commissioning readiness and long-term reliability.

The role is fully remote, with location details discussed during interview. You will mentor engineers, drive standardization, and ensure NERC and SOLV policy compliance across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in electrical, mechanical or energy engineering.
• 6-8 years of engineering experience in renewable energy and SCADA.
• Direct experience drafting SCADA, networking, electrical, and substation designs.
• Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Advanced knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking concepts and architectures.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and own design of SCADA monitoring and control systems for utility-scale PV, BESS, and wind projects.
• Develop designs in AutoCAD, Visio, and other tools; produce comprehensive designs.
• Define and improve SCADA design standards and best practices.
• Review project scope of work and translate requirements into scalable designs.
• Create and approve detailed design docs: diagrams, port maps, powering diagrams, BOMs.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead technical reviews.
