Job summary

EY is seeking an SAP IS-U Device & Work Management Functional Manager across the United States. You will own the device and work management workstream, define functional design, and drive integration with AMI, MDMS, EDM, GIS, inventory, and mobile workforce solutions.

You will lead cross-functional teams and coordinate with business and technology stakeholders to ensure quality and operational readiness. You will oversee requirements gathering, design reviews, testing, and cutover activities,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 4–6 years SAP IS-U or SAP Utilities experience including Device Management, Work Management, meter reading or related field processes.
• 3+ years leading a functional workstream or team.
• Experience owning SAP IS-U Device and Work Management design and delivery through implementation, testing, deployment, stabilization.

Responsibilities

• Own the SAP IS-U Device and Work Management workstream, including scope, processes, decisions, delivery plans, quality, risks and outcomes from discovery through deployment and stabilization.
• Define and govern the functional design for device lifecycle management, meter reading, field service, work execution, and operational controls.
• Lead requirements gathering, fit-gap assessments, solution workshops, and design reviews to translate requirements into SAP IS-U solutions.
• Drive end-to-end integration across SAP IS-U and related platforms (AMI, MDMS, EDM, GIS, inventory, SAP Plant Maintenance, mobile workforce).
• Lead the design and delivery of device and field-work processes (device lifecycle, meter reading, service orders, field execution, exception processing).
• Manage cross-workstream dependencies to align end-to-end utility processes.
• Develop functional specs, solution documentation, configuration standards, and design decisions.
• Lead and coach functional consultants; coordinate technical and vendor teams; resolve issues.
• Oversee end-to-end testing and defect resolution for meter-to-cash processes, field completion, device/meter reading, and handoffs.
• Manage scope, estimates, dependencies, risks, and escalations; communicate options to leadership.
• Lead cutover, reconciliation, training, production readiness, and post-go-live stabilization.
