Job summary

EY is seeking an SAP IS-U Device & Work Management Functional Manager to lead end-to-end design and delivery of SAP IS-U device/work management solutions for utility operations. You will own the workstream, define functional approaches, and align with metering and field operations while guiding cross-functional, vendor, and client teams to drive quality and readiness.

You will lead design reviews, integrations with AMI/MDMS/EDM/GIS, and manage requirements through deployment and stabilization,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 4–6 years SAP IS-U or SAP Utilities experience with 3+ years leading a functional workstream.
• Proven design and delivery of SAP IS-U Device and Work Management solutions.
• Experience across device lifecycle, meter reading, service orders, and field-work processes.
• Experience integrating SAP IS-U with AMI/MDMS/EDM/GIS and related systems.
• Experience leading requirements, workshops, testing, cutover, and operational readiness.
• Experience governing cross-functional integrations and risk management.
• Strong leadership, planning, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to balance business outcomes with delivery constraints and readiness.

Responsibilities

• Owning the SAP IS-U Device and Work Management workstream from discovery to post-go-live stabilization.
• Defining functional design for device lifecycle management, meter reading, field service, and operational controls.
• Leading requirements gathering, fit-gap analyses, solution workshops, and design reviews.
• Driving end-to-end integration with AMI, MDMS, EDM, GIS, inventory, PM, and mobile workforce solutions.
• Leading design and delivery of device and field-work processes and operational handoffs.
• Managing cross-workstream dependencies to ensure end-to-end alignment.
• Developing functional specifications, documentation, and configuration standards.
• Coaching functional consultants and coordinating vendor teams.
• Overseeing testing and defect resolution for meter-to-cash processes and handoffs.
• Leading cutover, training, production readiness, and post-go-live stabilization.
