Job summary

EY is seeking an SAP IS-U Customer Service Senior Consultant in the United States to support design, configuration, testing, and implementation of customer-facing SAP IS-U solutions. You will work with stakeholders to translate utility service requirements into effective SAP IS-U functional designs across customer, account, contract, premise, and service‑request processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Typically 3–4 years of SAP IS-U or SAP Utilities experience, including 3+ years hands-on SAP IS-U Customer Service.
• Hands-on experience delivering functional requirements, configuration or solution design, testing, and production support in a utility environment.
• Experience with SAP IS-U customer, business partner, contract account, utility contract, premise, service connection, and customer-service processes.
• Experience supporting utility customer-lifecycle processes including account maintenance, service requests, move-in/move-out, transfers, and start/stop service.
• Understanding meter-to-cash processes and dependencies among Customer Service, Billing, FI-CA, Device Management, Work Management, field service, and connected systems.
• Experience preparing functional specs, configuration documentation, test scenarios, process flows, data mappings, and other project documentation.
• Experience executing unit/integration testing and supporting UAT, regression testing, defect resolution, cutover, production stabilization.
• Experience data conversion activities including data mapping, validation, reconciliation, or cutover readiness.
• Ability to resolve functional and cross-workstream issues with business users, technical teams, and project stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Gathering and analyzing requirements for customer and account maintenance, service requests, move-in/move-out, transfers, start/stop service, and related processes.
• Configuring and supporting SAP IS-U Customer Service solutions including business partner, contract account, utility contract, premise, and related data.
• Designing service-request, notification, correspondence, and customer-contact processes aligned with SAP IS-U and meter-to-cash solutions.
• Translating service-operation requirements into practical SAP IS-U functional designs.
• Coordinating end-to-end process impacts across Billing, FI-CA, Device Management, Work Management, digital channels, field service, and external contact-center systems.
• Analyzing customer-impacting exceptions and root causes.
• Creating functional designs, process flows, data mappings, and project deliverables.
• Executing unit and integration testing and supporting UAT, regression testing, and production issue analysis.
• Supporting data conversion activities and cutover readiness.
• Collaborating with client stakeholders and mentoring junior team members.
