Job summary

EY seeks an SAP IS-U Customer Service Senior Consultant to design, configure, test, and implement customer-facing SAP IS-U solutions across the meter-to-cash lifecycle. You’ll translate utility requirements into practical functional designs and work with business and technical teams globally.

Responsibilities include requirements gathering, functional design, configuration, testing, data conversion, and cross‑workstream collaboration, with travel 40–60% as needed in US consulting engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Typically 3–4 years SAP IS-U/Utilities experience.
• Hands-on experience delivering functional requirements, configuration or solution design in a utility environment.
• Experience with SAP IS-U customer, business partner, contract account, utility contract, premise and customer‑service processes.
• Experience supporting utility customer‑lifecycle processes, including account maintenance, service requests, move‑in/move‑out, transfers, and start/stop service.
• Willingness to travel 40–60% and strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze requirements for customer and account maintenance, service requests, move‑in/move‑out, and related processes.
• Support functional design and configuration of SAP IS-U Customer Service solutions including master data concepts.
• Design and support service‑request, notification, correspondence, and customer‑contact processes with SAP IS‑U.
• Translate service‑operation requirements into reliable workflows for customer, account, contract, and service‑request.
• Coordinate end‑to‑end process impacts across Billing, FI‑CA, Device Management, Work Management, and digital channels.
• Analyze exceptions involving activation, account changes, billing readiness, and data through cross‑system integrations.
• Prepare functional designs, configuration docs, test scenarios, and data mappings.
• Execute unit/integration testing and support UAT, regression testing, defect resolution, and production issue analysis.
• Support data conversion activities including mapping, validation, reconciliation, and cutover readiness.
• Collaborate with client stakeholders, business users, tech teams, integration teams, and project leadership.
