Job summary

EY is seeking an SAP IS-U Billing Functional Manager to lead the end-to-end design and delivery of SAP IS-U Billing and Invoicing solutions for utility clients in the United States. You will own the Billing workstream, define the functional approach, and align with regulatory and business requirements while guiding cross-functional teams through implementation, testing, and cutover.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 4–6 years SAP IS-U or SAP Utilities experience with hands-on IS-U Billing and Invoicing.
• Experience owning SAP IS-U Billing and Invoicing solution design and delivery.
• Experience with time-of-use and/or interval-based billing and EDM integration.
• Experience integrating Billing with related SAP IS-U capabilities such as Device Management, FI-CA, Customer Service, bill print.
• Experience leading requirements gathering, design governance, testing, cutover, and operational readiness.
• Strong leadership, communication, planning, and stakeholder management; travel 40–60%.

Responsibilities

• Own the SAP IS-U Billing and Invoicing workstream from design through deployment and stabilization.
• Define the target functional design for Billing and Invoicing, including rate structures and billing schemas.
• Lead requirements gathering, workshops, and design governance to translate requirements into scalable SAP IS-U solutions.
• Drive end-to-end integration across Billing and related SAP IS-U components.
• Lead complex billing scenarios including time-of-use and interval billing and reconciliations.
• Develop functional specifications and design decisions to ensure consistency and quality.
• Coach the team and manage cross-workstream dependencies and issues.
• Oversee testing and defect resolution for rates, tariffs, billing cycles, and invoicing.
• Manage scope, estimates, risks, and stakeholder decisions; plan cutover and go-live.
