Job summary

EY is seeking an SAP IS-U Billing Functional Manager to lead the end-to-end design and delivery of SAP IS-U Billing and Invoicing solutions for utilities clients. You will own the Billing workstream, translate complex rate and regulatory requirements into scalable SAP IS-U designs, and drive solution quality across the meter-to-cash process.

You will lead functional teams, collaborate with business and tech stakeholders, and manage cutover, testing, and operational readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 4–6 years SAP IS-U or SAP Utilities experience, including 3+ years leading a functional workstream.
• Proven experience owning SAP IS-U Billing and Invoicing solution design and delivery.
• Experience with time-of-use and/or interval-based billing and EDM integration.
• Experience integrating Billing with related SAP IS-U capabilities (Device Management, FI-CA, Customer Service, bill print).
• Strong leadership and stakeholder-management skills.
• Willingness to travel 40–60%.

Responsibilities

• Own the SAP IS-U Billing and Invoicing workstream from design through deployment and post-go-live stabilization.
• Define the target functional design for Billing and Invoicing (rates, tariffs, billing schemas, controls).
• Lead requirements gathering, fit-gap assessments, solution workshops and governance.
• Drive end-to-end integration across Billing and related SAP IS-U capabilities.
• Lead the design and delivery of complex billing scenarios including time-of-use and interval-based billing.
• Develop functional specifications and maintain design decisions for consistency across the workstream.
• Coach the functional team, review deliverables, and resolve cross-workstream issues.
• Oversee testing and defect resolution for rates, tariffs, billing cycles and invoicing.
• Guide cutover planning, operation readiness, training, and post-go-live stabilization.
