Job summary

Rocket Software is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to support Account Executives and partners in growing revenue opportunities. You will bring a strong sales advisory and technical background in Mainframe Security, with experience in AS/400/IBM i and z/OS, and in Modernization, REST services, and requirements gathering.

You will articulate complex technical details to non-technical audiences while mentoring peers and collaborating across teams.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant sales advisory or sales engineering experience.
• Mainframe security experience with AS/400 / IBM i and z/OS.
• Mainframe Modernization experience.
• REST services and other application development skills.
• Strong problem solving and requirements gathering skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly motivated and comfortable taking on a variety of tasks to satisfy business requirements.
• Detail-oriented and able to learn new concepts quickly.
• Ability to work independently and engage team support as required.
• Ability to prioritize and manage workload to meet deadlines.
• Comfortable working in a rapidly changing environment.
