Job summary

Rocket Software in the United States is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer who will support Account Executives in new and existing partner relationships and direct business to grow revenue. The role requires a sales and technical background in Mainframe Security.

You will lead the technical sales process, translate complex concepts for non-technical audiences, mentor partners, and manage multiple opportunities end-to-end in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant sales advisory or sales engineering experience.
• Mainframe security experience with AS/400 / IBM i and z/OS.
• Mainframe modernization experience.
• REST services and other application development skills.
• Strong problem solving and requirements gathering skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly motivated and capable of handling multiple tasks to satisfy business requirements.
• Detail-oriented and able to rapidly learn new concepts and technologies.
• Ability to work independently and engage team support as required.
• Ability to prioritize and meet defined deadlines.
• Comfortable working in a rapidly changing or unstructured environment.
