Job summary
Affirm is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to lead technical discovery, architect scalable integration solutions, and act as a trusted advisor for enterprise merchants. You will collaborate with sales, engineering, and product teams to present compelling technical narratives and win partnerships.
You will influence product direction, develop reusable assets, and drive scalable pre-sales engagements across ecommerce and payment platforms.
Qualifications
- BA/BS degree in business or technology
- 4+ years in Sales Engineering or related roles focusing on solution architecture
- 3+ years in payments/fintech or related industry
- Strong technical acumen in API integrations and enterprise architectures
- Experience with ecommerce checkout and payment systems
- Willingness to travel up to 30%
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Responsibilities
- Serve as subject matter expert on affirm’s integration solutions and marketplaces
- Architect and propose end‑to‑end merchant solutions and integrations
- Build trust with customers and cross‑functional teams
- Partner with sales to drive opportunities for large customers
- Provide customer feedback to influence product development
- Create scalable, reusable technical assets and demos
- Support sales planning with technical risk assessments
- Develop pre-sales content and demonstrations
