Job summary

Affirm is a remote‑first company delivering scalable checkout and payments solutions. As a Senior Sales Engineer, you will lead technical discovery, design integrations, and act as a trusted advisor to enterprise merchants.

You will partner with sales, engineering, and product teams to craft end‑to‑end architectures, develop compelling narratives, and build reusable assets for GTM. Some travel (up to 30%) may be required.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in business/technology or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years in Sales Engineering, Solution Architecture, Partner Engineering, or pre‑sales.
• 3+ years in payments/fintech or related industry.
• Strong API, SaaS and enterprise architecture knowledge.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with high attention to detail.
• Experience with ecommerce checkout and payment solutions.
• Will travel up to 30%.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery and craft end‑to‑end integration designs.
• Architect solutions addressing merchant challenges and trade‑offs.
• Build trust with enterprise merchants and internal teams.
• Partner with sales and engineering to drive opportunities.
• Influence product direction with customer feedback.
• Create reusable assets and training material for GTM.
• Provide technical input for sales planning and forecasting.
• Develop pre‑sales material and demos.
