Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Texas is seeking a Senior Roads & Highways Project Manager to lead roadway design teams on transportation projects across the Central Region. You will apply your engineering expertise and project management experience to plan, direct, and deliver projects within budget and schedule, while mentoring staff and coordinating with clients and regulators.

The role requires a BS/MS in Civil Engineering, 10+ years of highway experience, TX PE license, and strong financial and team

Qualifications

• BS and/or MS in Civil Engineering.
• 10+ years of engineering experience.
• Must have highway/roadway design and project management experience.
• Knowledge of Schematic and/or PS&E processes is essential.
• Excellent technical and interpersonal skills.
• Strong project financial management and team management skills.
• DOT experience is a plus but not a requirement.
• P.E. license in TX is required.
• Project Manager Professional a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering design and coordinate design staff on project components.
• Schedule and coordinate project meetings with the project team, regulators, the client and others involved.
• Manage project production by tracking manhours, costs and expenses to projects.
• Identify roadway and highway business opportunities and present to clients.
• Participate in project opportunity evaluation and consultant selection.
• Draft complex professional service agreements and addenda for review by senior management.
• Direct project team and client compliance with contract terms.
• Prepare work plan, scope, schedule and budget; monitor progress and quality.
