Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior Roadway Engineer/Task Lead in Texas to manage roadway design teams across multiple highway projects. You will oversee planning, design, production, and reporting, mentoring others, and ensuring project delivery for clients like HCTRA, TxDOT, and city authorities.

The role emphasizes leadership, technical expertise, and collaborative problem solving. The ideal candidate has a P.E.

Qualifications

BS and/or MS in Civil Engineering.
7+ years of engineering experience.
Must have highway/roadway design experience.
DOT experience is a plus but not a requirement.
P.E. license in TX is required.
MicroStation, Open Road Designer.
AutoCAD Civil 3D recommended but not required.

Responsibilities

Applies standard engineering practices in roadway design and related tasks.
Assists planning, design, and production of engineering drawings; may supervise drawings production.
Participates in investigations and planning, data collection and analysis, and evaluation of alternatives.
Prepares sections of reports under supervision of a senior professional.
Reviews shop drawings and assists in progress reporting and quality control testing.
Performs engineering calculations and field observations as needed.
