Job summary

Ascensus in Newark, NJ seeks a Client Services Consultant to deliver consultative support to plan sponsors, intermediaries and partners. You will apply retirement plans expertise, resolve complex issues, and collaborate with Relationship Managers to ensure client satisfaction.

Responsibilities include proactive issue resolution, data security, and mentoring teammates while maintaining strong client relationships and delivering value-added services across the client book.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 3-5 years direct client experience required, retirement services preferred.
• Certification or working towards certification (ASPPA, CEBS) preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with all levels of the organization.
• Experience with financial services systems and plan recordkeeping/reconciliation.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel) with Access/PowerPoint preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultative client service to partners, intermediaries and sponsors.
• Demonstrate detailed knowledge of retirement plans and Ascensus products.
• Coach and mentor others; monitor and resolve client issues with proactive follow-up.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients and financial professionals; report on initiatives.
• Support vendor relationships and achieve service level goals for the book of business.
• Communicate clearly about services, execution and resolution throughout the service cycle.
