Job summary

Ascensus is seeking a Client Services Consultant in Newark, NJ to deliver consultative client service to partners, intermediaries and plan sponsors. You will apply retirement plan expertise, resolve complex issues, and partner with the Relationship Manager to ensure client satisfaction and retention.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of direct client experience in retirement services, strong communication, and the ability to mentor others.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
• 3–5 years direct client service experience in retirement services preferred.
• Certification or working towards certification (ASPPA, CEBS) in industry-related studies preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with clients and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultative client service to partners, intermediaries and plan sponsors.
• Demonstrate knowledge of retirement plans and Ascensus offerings to resolve issues.
• Coach and mentor others; act as SME on topics as needed.
• Monitor and follow up on assigned items, documenting solutions.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients and financial professionals.
• Support vendor relationships and drive client retention.
• Communicate clearly about services and resolution throughout the service cycle.
• Collaborate with Relationship Manager to meet service level and growth goals.
