Job summary

Ascensus is seeking a Client Services Consultant to provide expert service to partners, intermediaries and plan sponsors. You will apply in-depth retirement plan knowledge and Ascensus offerings to resolve complex issues and deliver value through consultative service.

In this role you will collaborate with the Relationship Manager to ensure client satisfaction, mentor colleagues, and drive retention and growth while maintaining data security and professional standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 1-3 years direct client experience required.
• Certification or working towards certification (ASPPA, CEBS) preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with all levels.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel; Access/PowerPoint preferred.
• Experience with financial services systems and plan recordkeeping/reconciliation.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level consultative client service to partners, intermediaries, and plan sponsors.
• Demonstrate detailed knowledge of retirement plans and Ascensus products.
• Coach and mentor others to ensure client expectations are met or exceeded.
• Manage escalated items and follow-up on action items with documented solutions.
• Establish strong relationships with clients and financial professionals; provide updates on product and plan initiatives.
• Lead vendor relationship management on behalf of clients and partners.
• Contribute to retention and growth by anticipating client needs and proposing changes.
• Collaborate with Relationship Manager to execute strategic plans and mitigate risk.
