SRS Distribution - McKinney is seeking a Senior Benefits Specialist in McKinney, TX to lead health and retirement programs under the Director of Benefits. You will design benefits plans, oversee vendor relationships, and manage the 401(k) program including funding, testing, 5500s, and audits.

The role emphasizes strategic leadership, cost control, and compliance with ACA, ERISA, COBRA, and related laws. You will collaborate with Finance, Controllership, and Payroll to optimize interdependencies

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Deep benefits expertise and strong focus on reporting, controls and management of the US 401(k) plan.
• Knowledge of ACA, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, Section 125, workers' compensation, Medicare, OBRA, Social Security and DOL requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong analytical skills and a thorough knowledge of plan designs.

Responsibilities

• Serves as strategic expert to leadership for US retirement programs.
• Develops and maintains the strategic engagement framework with Finance, Controllership and Payroll.
• Design and distribute materials for benefits orientations, open enrollment and summary plan descriptions.
• Analyze current benefits, evaluating cost, coverage, and trends to guide program decisions.
• Review cost projections and implement new programs.
• Oversee benefits compliance with applicable regulations and reporting.
• Monitor administrative costs and recommend cost containment strategies.
• Research vendors to identify best value.
• Design and recommend new benefits programs.
• Develop communication tools to explain benefits clearly.
• Manage annual renewal calendar with healthcare consultants.
• Distribute enrollment materials and determine eligibility.
